How to Set Up a Google Play Store Integration in BrandBastion

Manage and respond to Google Play Store reviews directly in your BrandBastion Reviews Feed.

๐Ÿ”ง What Youโ€™ll Need

Before you start, make sure you have:

  • Owner or Admin access to your Google Play Console

  • A Google Play app URL for each app you want to connect

  • Permission to invite new users to the Google Play Console


Step 1: Start the Integration in BrandBastion

  1. In BrandBastion, go to Assets

  2. Select Google Play Store

  3. Click Connect Google Play Store

This will open a prompt where you can input app URLs.


Step 2: Add Your App URL(s)

  1. Paste the URL(s) of the app(s) you want to connect.

  2. Click Generate invite email

This will generate a unique service account email required for the next step.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: You can add multiple apps at once. Each one will link to the same service account.


Step 3: Add BrandBastion to Your Google Play Console

Once the email is generated, you can copy it.

In your Google Play Console:

  1. Go to Users and Permissions

  2. Click Invite new user

  3. Enter the service account email provided

Permissions needed

Under Account permissions, check:

  • View app information and download bulk reports

  • Reply to reviews

Click Invite user

๐Ÿšจ Note: It may take up to 24 hours for permissions to propagate after inviting the service account.


Step 4: Finalize the Connection

  1. Return to BrandBastion

  2. Click Add asset(s)

Once permissions are active, it will take around 2 hours to validate the connection.
