What You Can Do With Found Posts

Once a public post appears in your search results, you can:

  • Tag the conversation

  • Route it via workflows or automations

Important Limitations

Due to Threads’ API limitations, keep the following in mind:

  • Daily search quota:
You can run up to 2,200 keyword searches per Threads account in a rolling 24-hour window. Each search counts against your quota for a full 24 hours.

  • Quota is shared across tools:
If you're using multiple apps to search Threads (e.g. BrandBastion + another platform), those apps share the same quota.

  • Repeated searches still count:
Searching the same keyword multiple times still consumes your quota each time.

  • Empty searches don’t count:
If a keyword returns no results, it won’t use up your quota. Try shortening or refining your keyword if nothing comes up.

  • Keyword posts are not crawled if the text is empty:
Posts with no text content won’t be ingested.

  • Only top-level posts are crawled:

    Replies are not crawled.

  • Sensitive keywords won’t return results:
Threads automatically filters out posts containing sensitive or offensive terms. If you suspect a keyword should work but isn’t returning results, it may be blocked.

  • Data ingestion is restricted by any custom inclusion or exclusion filtering criteria applied to the listening source.

  • Replying on Threads is not yet supported.
