Using Internal Notes to Collaborate on Post Reviews

Get fast approvals and clear feedback by tagging team members directly in post drafts.

Updated over 3 months ago

🔍 What This Helps With

Internal notes streamline content reviews, cross-team approvals, and feedback loops—especially during the draft stage.

How Internal Notes Work

Collaborate in the Draft Workspace

Use the Internal Notes tab to leave feedback, request input, or give approval cues. These notes are never public and live inside the draft post.

Mention Teammates for Action

Use @ mentions to loop in the right people. This sends them a notification and creates a clear thread for response.

💡 Tip: Always save posts as drafts when tagging someone in a note. Internal note mentions only trigger notifications if the post is saved as a draft. This also enables teammates to reply directly in the thread.

Best Practices for Using Internal Notes

  • Always save the post as a draft before using internal notes

  • Be specific in your ask (e.g. “Ready for review—can you confirm tone?”)

  • Tag only the relevant people to keep reviews efficient

  • Resolve completed threads to reduce clutter and confusion

  • Keep approvals traceable inside the post, rather than using external tools

📌 Note: Internal notes stay linked to the post until it's published. Use them as a single source of truth for all pre-publish discussions.
