🧭 Filter Categories Overview

Filters are grouped into five core sections:

  1. Basics — Platform, assets, and date range

  2. Comments / Messages — Sentiment, keywords, language, and more

  3. Users — Filter by user type or engagement level

  4. Posts — Target by post type, tags, IDs, and captions

  5. Campaigns / Ads — Zoom in by campaign, ad set, or targeting details


📅 Basics

Use these to define the scope of data shown.

Date Range

  • Filter content by time window (e.g., Last 30 days, Custom range).

Tab

Analyze > Listen & Engage

Comment or message creation date

Analyze > Posts tab & Publish

Post creation date

Platforms

  • Toggle by platform: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, X (Twitter), or others.

Asset Groups & Assets

  • Asset Groups: Filter by saved groups of social accounts.

    • Collection of assets (e.g. social pages, profiles, or ad accounts) that help you keep your account organized. You can create these asset groups in My Account / Assets.

  • Assets: Drill down by individual page, handle, or ad account.


💬 Comments / Messages Filters

Target specific types of interactions, tones, and topics.

Sentiment BrandBastion AI

  • Find positive, negative, user tag or neutral comments, or a combination of different sentiment categories.

    • 🔴 Negative

    • 🟢 Positive

    • ⚪️ Neutral

    • 👤 User-tags only

    • N/A — Sentiment not available due to specific platform restrictions

Keywords

  • Show messages that contain specific terms. Combine with “Translate” to catch multilingual mentions.

Tags BrandBastion AI

  • Narrow by internal tags assigned for moderation, sentiment, escalation, etc.

Message Types

  • Choose from comments, DMs, mentions, replies, etc.

Language BrandBastion AI

  • Focus on messages in specific languages

Review Rating

  • Isolate reviews based on star ratings (1–5).


✅ Assignment & Workflow Filters

Useful for moderation, support triage, and team-based review.

Assigned To

  • Filter by assigned agent.

Visibility

  • Show only visible or hidden comments.

Listening Source

  • Limit to interactions originating from specific social listening sources (e.g. specific hashtags)

Conversation ID

  • Jump into a specific thread by ID.

Status

  • Filter by internal workflow status (e.g., Archived, Starred, Replied).


👥 User Filters

Drill into the audience side of interactions.

Engaged Users

  • Show interactions from people who have engaged with your content.

All Users

  • Free text search for usernames (can include people who have or have not engaged with your content)

Followers

  • Filter by following count on Instagram (creators and professional accounts)


📢 Post & Campaign Filters

Filter by post-level and campaign-level attributes.

Post Types

  • Pure Organic: Pure organic posts that are only visible on the page.

  • Boosted Posts: An organic post that you've paid to reach a wider audience of your choosing. A boosted post is still considered an ad, but it may contain a mix of organic and paid comments.

  • Pure Ads: Posts that are only visible to the audience targeted by the ad campaign. It includes DLA, PAC, and SAC ads with Instagram placement and Dynamic Catalog Ads with Facebook placement.

  • Unlinked Ads: Similar to Pure Ads, unlinked ads are only visible to the audience targeted by the ad campaign. This filter will include dynamic ad types (e.g.: DLA, PAC, and SAC ads with the Facebook placement) with the Facebook placement as well as ads run through any ad accounts BrandBastion does not have access to.

Post ID or URL

  • Target specific posts for moderation or analysis.

Post Tags

  • Filter by tags applied to posts (separate from comment/message tags).

Caption Keywords

  • Show posts containing specific keywords in the caption text

  • Show comments posted on posts containing specific keywords in the caption text

Campaigns / Ad Sets / Ads

  • Search by campaign, ad set, or ad ID or name.

Targeting

  • Filter interactions based on targeted country or region (available for Facebook and Instagram).
