Tagging Users in Replies

Easily personalize replies across platforms using BrandBastion's automatic placeholders — or remove them if preferred.

Updated over 4 months ago

How do you tag users in your responses? It depends on the platform. BrandBastion will create an automatic placeholder in replies to help personalize them, though this can be removed if you wish.

This is how these placeholders work in each case:

  1. Instagram: @username is tagged.

  2. Facebook: First name is added (user is not tagged).

  3. TikTok: @username is added (user is not tagged).

  4. YouTube: Username is added (user is not tagged).

  5. X (formerly Twitter): @username is tagged.

  6. LinkedIn: First name is added (user is not tagged).

  7. Trustpilot: First name is added (user is not tagged).

  8. Google Business: First name is added (user is not tagged).

📌 Note:

  • On platforms where the placeholder does not create a real "tag," it’s purely for a personalized touch — users will not receive a notification.

  • You can manually remove or edit placeholders directly when crafting your replies if needed.
