Why Use It

  • Send alerts where your team collaborates (no need to forward emails)

  • Centralize monitoring in shared Teams channels

  • Accelerate issue response with alerts posted directly to the right threads

How It Works

BrandBastion alerts and reports can be emailed directly into a Microsoft Teams channel using Teams’ built-in channel email address feature.

Once configured, any email sent to that address will appear as a new message in the selected channel.

Step-by-Step: Send Alerts or Reports to Microsoft Teams

1. Create an email address for your Teams channel

Follow these steps in Microsoft Teams:

  1. Go to Teams

  2. Find the channel you want to email

  3. Click the More options (...) next to the channel name

  4. Select Get email address

  5. Copy the email address shown

This generates a unique email address (e.g., [email protected]) linked to that specific channel.

πŸ“Œ Note: Your Microsoft 365 admin may control whether this feature is available or who can use it.

2. Add the Teams email to BrandBastion

  1. For Alerts:
    Go to your Alert Workflow

    For Reports:
    Go to Manage Scheduled Reports

  2. Find the field:
β€‹β€œAdd external emails from approved domains (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams)

  3. Paste the Teams channel email address you just created
