April 2026 - Release Notes

Outbound Inbox upgrades for trending posts: smarter discovery, post analysis, and commenting

Trending Posts for TikTok is now built for action, not just browsing. You can quickly focus on the videos that matter, get instant post-level context on each card, filter by brands mentioned, and comment on trending videos directly from BrandBastion using the right connected account. We also improved suggested comments by adding richer post context (like transcription, visual description, intent, and brands mentioned) so outreach stays relevant to what is actually happening in the video.

Use cases:

  • Filter trending content to only the videos that mention brands you care about and exclude the ones you want to avoid.

  • Get instant context with post analysis and a quick summary on each trending card before you engage.

  • Comment on trending TikTok videos directly from BrandBastion without switching tools, using the right connected account.

Where to find it: Go to Engage > Outbound > Trending. Available on Agent+ plan and above.

1) Commenting on trending videos directly from BrandBastion
Leave comments on trending TikTok videos directly from BrandBastion, without switching tools, while still posting from the correct connected account, with AI-suggested comments ready to review and post.

2) Post analysis on every trending card
See post-level analysis and a quick summary directly on each Trending Post card, giving the AI the right context (like what the video is about, key themes, and brands mentioned) so comment suggestions are sharper and more relevant before you post.

3) Brand mention filters in Trending Posts
Filter trending TikTok videos by the brands mentioned in the content, so you can zero in on the conversations you want to join and avoid the ones you do not.

Invite influencer links for partnership ads

Adding influencer partnership ads coverage is now way simpler. Create a one time invite link, send it to an influencer, and once they connect, we start monitoring partnership ad comments right away for the time window you picked. Influencer connections live in a dedicated “Influencer assets” tab with clear monitoring status and expiry dates.

Use cases:

  • Bulletproof partnership ad coverage when influencers run paid content through your brand, without messy back and forth

  • Keep influencer monitoring organized in one place, with clear “Monitoring” vs “Expired” status so nothing silently drops

Where to find it: My AccountAssetsInfluencer AssetsCreate invite link.

Link shortening with short.io

You can now shorten long URLs directly in the reply composer to keep replies clean and easier to read. Once enabled in Company settings, teams can either shorten links automatically when pasting a URL (and when drafts include a link), or keep it manual with a one-click “Shorten link” action in the composer.

Use cases:

  • Shorten long product or tracking URLs automatically or in one click so replies look clean and are easier for customers to trust

Copy conversation (comment) hyperlink

BrandBastion users who are managing conversations will now be able to copy

a direct link to a specific conversation, so they can quickly share it with

a teammate without manually filtering to find it.

Use cases:

  • Streamlines communication by cutting unnecessary back-and-forth

  • Especially helpful when handling high volumes, providing immediate access to the exact thread without manual filtering or searching.

Working status (active and away)

Avaiable for Agent+ & Engage+ plans

Working status powers round robin assignment, so workflows only route work to teammates who are available. Each teammate is set to Active by default, automatically switches to Away after 10 minutes of inactivity, and can be set to Away manually when they are not available, so new assignments only go to active teammates.

Use cases:

  • Keep round robin assignment routing work only to teammates who are active

  • Automatically pause assignments after 10 minutes of inactivity, without manual handoffs

  • Let teammates set themselves Away so work skips them until they are back

Where to find it:

Top navigation: click your profile and switch Working status to Active or Away. You can also see statuses in Company Settings → Users. Use it together with a round robin assign workflow.

Round robin assignment for assign workflows

Avaiable for Agent+ & Engage+ plans

Distribute conversations across a team in a round robin pattern, using working status and per-user queue limits to keep workloads balanced. Set max items in To review per user, and optionally unassign pending items if someone stays Away.

Use cases:

  • Fairly spread To review work across the team instead of piling on one person

  • Stop assigning to teammates who hit a queue cap, and resume when their count drops

  • Automatically recover work when someone stays away, so nothing gets stuck

Where to find it:

Go to WorkflowsNew workflowAssign workflowRound robin. Configure Assign order, Max in To review per user, Batch size (per user), and Unassign when away, then add teammates under Team and enable the workflow.

Easily monitor only the ads and posts that matter

You can now narrow what BrandBastion monitors for both owned assets and influencer partnerships, so we only crawl comments from the campaigns you actually care about. Filter posts and ads using URL identifiers (destination link contains) or caption keywords (caption contains), and keep everything else out of scope.

Use cases:

  • Filter monitoring to a single paid campaign by tracking only ads where the destination URL contains a specific value (for example, promo2561)

  • Monitor only influencer posts tied to a partnership by requiring a caption keyword or handle (for example, #yourbrand or @yourbrand)

Where to find it: My Account → Assets → Edit Asset → Optional filters (Narrow down which posts and ads we monitor.)

Post analysis for owned stories and story mentions

Available for Agent+ and above.
AI responses to story replies and mentions are now as contextual as comment replies. When someone replies to your story, or mentions your brand in theirs, BrandBastion analyzes the original Story content first, then uses that context in the reply generation prompt so suggested responses match what was actually shown.

Use cases:

  • Generate better, smarter AI replies to Story mentions, and story replies with the right context.

Where to find it:
In the Inbox, open a DM that includes a Story reply or Story mention. You’ll see the Story analysis on hover, and it will automatically be included when generating an AI reply.

More control for Archive, Assign, and Change sentiment workflows

Archive, Assign, and Change sentiment workflows now support the same filtering options as other workflow types, so you can target exactly the conversations you want and avoid applying actions to unrelated platforms, assets, or scenarios.

Use cases:

  • Limit auto-archiving to specific platforms or assets while excluding edge cases you never want archived

  • Assign only high-priority conversations to a specific teammate, while excluding internal or low-signal items

  • Apply sentiment changes only to a defined subset of messages so reporting stays clean and intentional

Name format in replies, per platform and message type

You can now control how the user name placeholder appears in your replies across every channel. Set a default format per platform and message type (public comments, DMs, earned mentions, reviews), so your replies stay clean and consistent even when tagging is not supported. Choose between options like first name, username, display name, nothing, or a custom word, and your settings will apply to manual replies, saved replies, and AI suggestions.

Use cases:

  • Make replies more appropriate per channel by using @username where tagging works, first name where it feels more natural, or nothing when you want a cleaner reply
